Overview
The YMCA (Young Men's Christian Association) puts Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Y-Guide/Princess programs build lifelong values and strengthen the bond between parent and child. Built on the many traditions and values found in the Native American family, the program teaches awareness and respect for Native American Cultures.

What do Y-Indian Princesses do?
Participants in the Y-Princesses program are organized into tribes that are designed to have parents and their children spend one-on-one time with each other. Tribal activities include meetings, events and outings and campouts that build skills, character, and create life-long memories together.

The Y-Princess Program will:
Foster companionship and understanding and set a foundation for positive, lifelong relationships between parent and child.
• Build a sense of self-esteem and personal worth.
• Expand awareness of spirit, mind, and body.
• Provide the framework to meet a mutual need of spending enjoyable, constructive, and quality time together.
• Enhance the quality of family time.
• Emphasize the vital role that parents play in the growth and development of their children.
• Offer an important and unique opportunity to develop and enjoy volunteer leadership skill.

Purpose
The purpose of the Y-Princess Program is to build a stronger bond between Dads and Daughters (K - 3rd Grade), while having fun and making new friends along the way.
